Courtney Barriger here, representing Brussels Sprouts High Five.
I will be at Micheltorena Elementary School at Silverlake Arts Market tomorrow with my collection bin, gathering up for the shoe drive for Cochi India.

Brussels Sprouts High Five is a volunteer group based out of Los Angeles California. We set up volunteer days with friends within the community and spend time serving in soup kitchens, elderly centers, and collection drives. And right now, we are collecting flat shoes to send to Kerala India, and need your help to ship them there.
We are partnering with Time Travel Mart in Echo Park and Venice Beach in Los Angeles, and Christian Family Chapel in Jacksonville Florida to collect shoes in light of my upcoming trip to Cochin, Kerala India.
I will be staying at Dhanwantari Ashram in the second part of October to paint a mural for the establishment, and practice yoga. This is a rare opportunity, and I want to take the time to give back to the community that will be hosting me.
The shoes will travel from Los Angeles and Jacksonville to the St. Francis Cathedral in Cochin, Kerala. From there, my partner and I will drive to local villages and pass them out! What ever is left over will be in the hands of the local church.
But we have to get them there! Shipping can be expensive, and we want to raise as much as we can to cover the costs. Any funds left over will be used to clean out Goodwill and local thrift stores. So nobody is losing.
Please help us pay it forward to those who are without!
