Shoe Drive for Kochi India

The shoe drive for Kochi India was such a success, I was overwhelmed with the generosity of those in Los Angeles and Jacksonville, Florida who helped make it happen.  Not only did the goal on Indiegogo earn enough to cover transport costs, I collected over three times the number of shoes I expected!  Some folks even bought whole collections of new children's shoes to give to the cause.  The Reverend at St. Francis Cathedral in Ft. Kochi was grateful, and passed the shoes out to the congregation after Sunday church.  Another portion of the shoes went to a public school, where the dean gave them to the children known to live in poverty.  The remaining shoes I couldn't take abroad - and there were tons - were donated to The Jacksonville City Rescue Mission, where they will go to families in need.  And the shoe boxes went to Project Christmas Child.
Again, I am so grateful for everyone who helped make this gift happen.  Know that on the other side of the World, in India, you made someone's day.
